Wildwood — Immersive Game Interface

Role

UI/UX Designer

Type

Game Interface Design

Tool

Unreal Engine (UMG)

Background

Wildwood is a game UI concept for a cooperative witch adventure where you work with your coven to defeat evil monsters. Player experience depends on clarity, immersion, and ease of use. Interface systems must support the player without interrupting engagement.

Strong game UI balances atmosphere with function — helping users understand settings, status, and game flow while maintaining the tone of the world.

Problem Statement

"How can a game interface support immersion and usability while clearly communicating essential player information?"

Design Process

01
Research
02
Ideation
03
Wireframe
04
Iteration

The design process centered on creating an interface that felt visually connected to the game world while remaining easy to understand. Research into player-centered design suggested that menus, settings, and HUD elements need to be readable, consistent, and quick to interpret.

The Wildwood interface used cohesive visual style, strong hierarchy, and clear placement of interactive elements. Screens like the title screen, settings, and status displays were designed to feel thematic without sacrificing usability. A key challenge was maintaining readability during gameplay without disrupting immersion.

UI Design Screens

Wildwood UMG implementation in Unreal Engine — title screen, settings, death screen, and chat

Results

The final game UI system creates a more immersive and organized player experience by combining thematic design with readable, functional interface elements. The design was fully implemented in Unreal Engine using UMG.

Enables faster navigation between key game features while maintaining immersion — proving that visual atmosphere and interface clarity can powerfully coexist.

Case Study · 02 · Wellness App

Ommm — Calm, Low-Friction Meditation

Role

UI/UX Designer

Type

Wellness App Design

Discipline

UX / Product Design

Background

Ommm is a concept meditation and wellness app designed to help users build calming, supportive daily routines. Apps in this space are known for reducing friction, supporting emotional well-being, and making guided content easy to access.

The most successful meditation apps combine intuitive navigation, soothing visuals, and accessible content organization to create a low-stress user experience.

Problem Statement

"How can a meditation app create a calm, intuitive, and accessible experience that helps users quickly engage with wellness content?"

Design Process

01
Research
02
Ideation
03
Wireframe
04
Iteration

The design process focused on reducing visual stress and making the interface feel welcoming and easy to use. Research into wellness products suggested users respond best to clear navigation, soft visual treatment, and content that feels approachable rather than overwhelming.

Based on that insight, the interface was designed with a clean layout, calming colors, and simple content hierarchy. Key screens supported easy movement between guided audio, supportive messaging, and core app features. Design decisions prioritized readability, emotional comfort, and a smooth user flow.

Key Screens

Ommm meditation app — welcome screen and guided audio interface

Results

The final design delivers a clear, calming, and intuitive user experience that enables users to quickly engage with wellness content while reducing cognitive load.

Improved onboarding clarity and reduced decision fatigue for first-time users — showing how visual restraint directly supports emotional well-being in digital products.

Case Study · 03 · Brand Identity

BrandWorks — Distinct Identities Across Audiences

Role

Brand Designer

Type

Identity System Design

Discipline

Branding / Visual Identity

Background

This branding collection includes identity concepts developed for a range of distinct brands — Stickery, Soleless, Savor, Claws of Color, Holly Jolly Pines, and Safari Springs — spanning product, seasonal, lifestyle, and themed visual systems.

Effective identity systems are recognized by their flexibility, consistency, and ability to visually differentiate one concept from another through typography, color, and mark-making.

Problem Statement

"How can a designer create distinct brand identities that communicate different personalities while remaining cohesive and visually effective?"

Design Process

01
Research
02
Exploration
03
Iteration
04
Refinement

The design process focused on adapting visual language to communicate distinct brand personalities. Research into each concept's audience and tone informed decisions around typography, color, and logo design. Some brands required playful and expressive visuals, while others needed a more minimal or seasonal approach.

Multiple visual directions were explored before settling on cohesive, scalable identity systems for each brand.

Identity Systems

Brand identity collection — Stickery, Soleless, Savor, Claws of Color, Holly Jolly Pines, Safari Springs

Results

The final collection of six brand identities demonstrates the ability to create multiple systems with distinct voices and clear visual direction — each tailored to a unique audience while remaining polished and effective.

Each system shows how branding can be tailored to different audiences while remaining recognizable and scalable — a key skill for any designer working across industries.
